Coleman Road Safety Project
An Award-Winning, Positive Reinforcement Program

Help celebrate safe choices by bikers and walkers!

The Coleman Road Safety Project encourages student walkers and bikers to make safe choices when traveling to and from school.  Our goal is positive reinforcement, not policing. We celebrate safe choices!

This award-winning program has helped us advocate for road improvements and crossing guards to make our students safer getting to school.

The Coleman Road Safety takes place each Wednesday morninig from 8:45 am to 9:20 am, meeting in the front office and then working the corners nearest to the school to encourage good biking and pedestrian safety practices. The project will be led by student and parent volunteers, and Sidewalk Stompers, Inc.

We need student volunteers to help celebrate safe choices!   Please contact faculty sponsor Mr. Pechacek, at robert.pechacek@sdhc.k12.fl.us, or PTSA representative Emily Hinsdale, at emilyhinsdale@gmail.com, if your student is interested in volunteering on Wednesday mornings, 8:45 to 9:20 am, starting on September 4, 2019 or thereafter.   This project is eligible for Beta Club service hours.

Parent volunteers, please sign up here to serve to support our students as an adult monitor of the Road Safety Project:
